Empty Bowls - Art helping our community.

Help feed the hungry while enjoying a fun event – look for the 11th annual “Empty Bowl Event” at Prairie Ridge Elementary. The Empty Bowl event will look a little different next year, we will hold it earlier in the year, on February 8th, 2019.
Donations in 2009 - $1,616 (first time the event was held at Prairie Ridge, previously, it was held at Kalamazoo College, and Woodward School in 2008, and my students just donated bowls to these events.)

Donations in 2012 - $2,203 - Amazing! Thanks!
Donations in 2013 - $2,500 - and what a turnout! Over 500 people attended.
Donations in 2014 - $2,482 - Thanks!
Donations in 2015 - $2,047 - Great!
Donations in 2016 - $1,768 - Very nice!
Donations in 2017 - $320 - This was held in conjunction with Literacy Night under a different format.
Donations in 2018 - $1,750 - Great!
Donations in 2019 - $1,650 - For a Blizzardy cold night, Great.
Donations in 2020 - $2,014 - Wonderful! This amount was also matched by the Prairie Ridge P.T.O. in an effort to maximize our impact to stop hunger during the pandemic.
Donations in 2021 - $1,052 - Our event was a drive through at Literacy night. We also raised 160 Lbs. of donated food!
